Visit to Museum

On request we can visit the following museums (entrance fee):

Museum of Castelvecchio: located in the castle built by the family Della Scala, it contains paintings and sculptures from the 12th till the 18th century (paintings by Pisanello, Mantegna, Bellini, Veronese, and many others local painters).

Archeological Museum by the Roman Theatre: here you can visit the archeological museum with sculptures, mosaics, objects of Roman times and, at the same time, you will visit the Roman Theatre of the I c. B.C.

The underground Archeological Museum Scavi Scaligeri : this museum of 1500 sqm is located at the level of the Roman town, e.g. about 2 mt below the street level. You can see part of canalisation, foundations, streets, mosaics, tombs, from the I c. B.C. till the 13th c. (foundations of Della Scala palaces).
